Your Privacy
At AmeriCom, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the
information we collect about you only to process your order and to keep you
informed of the status of your order. Please read on for more details
about our privacy policy.
What information do we collect and how do we use it?
When you order, we need to know your name, email address, mailing
address, and phone number information. If you choose to pay by credit
card, we need to know your credit card number, and credit card
expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to
notify you of your order status.
We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you
about important information relating to your service or to inform you of
new services we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not
receive this information, please contact us and we will mark your
customer information accordingly.
How does AmeriCom protect customer information?
AmeriCom uses the latest encryption technology to keep your personal
information safe. All your ordering information -- including your name,
address, and credit card number (which is optional depending on the
service you order) -- is encrypted using a secure server for maximum
security. Your billing information cannot be read as it travels to our
ordering system. To ensure that your information is even more secure,
once we receive your information information, we store it on a server
that is not accessible from the Internet.
We do not require a credit card to order Simplicity long distance.
However, credit card billing is available for your convenience should
you prefer it. Other services we offer may require a credit card and if
so, your credit card information will be requested only if it is
required for the service you select.
In the event that you do select credit card billing, credit card
transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution, which
receives the credit card number and other personal identifying
information only to verify the credit card numbers and process
transactions. If you feel more comfortable doing so, you are welcome to
call in your credit card information and complete your purchase by
phone.
What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your
browser on your computer's hard drive. Our site does not currently use
cookies.
Will AmeriCom disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
AmeriCom does not share customer information with third parties, other
than with the telephone service providers which are used to deliver and
bill your long distance or other service.
What is your policy if I link to a third-party web site?
When you click on links and/or ad banners that take you to third-party
web sites, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy
policies. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet,
AmeriCom cannot be responsible for the actions of third
parties. We encourage you to read the posted privacy statement whenever
interacting with any web site.
Your Consent

policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always
aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what
